The company you designed a logo for in 6C has now asked you to design a business card (front and back) and letterhead using the new logo. Research well-designed letterhead and business cards. Use the new logo to design consistent layouts and branding for a business card and letterhead.
Use the logo you decided on from 6C to design consistent layouts for a business card and letterhead in InDesign. Photos may be used on business card and letterhead as additional design elements. Letterhead should be 8.5 x 11. Business card should be 3.5 x 2 with a front and back design.
Apply typography rules, keeping the body copy small (8 – 10pt). Keep designs simple with light watermarks (3 – 15%) and plenty of white space. Include contact information: name, address, phone, website, and email on each piece. Use periods, bullets, or spaces in phone number; no parentheses/ hyphens.
1. Save stationery document – with both business card (front and back) and letterhead – in InDesign (.indd) for future editing
2. Choose File – Export – JPEG
3. Name your file: “7AYourName.jpg”
4. Set Quality to “Maximum”
5. Change the resolution to 72 ppi
6. Select “RGB” for the Color Space
7. Press “Export”
